Competitive event featuring marking ability and speed.
Contestants: Any club member may enter.
Competition Categories:
Entry Fee: $10-15 to defray event costs (birds, prizes, etc).
Awards: Plaques for 1st place in each category. Ribbons for each successful team.
“Top Team” Points: 2 points for a qualifying Pass, plus 2 additional points for first place and 1 additional point for second place in each category. (Team must be entered separately in Top Team competition)
Event Rules: Each event will include a land series and water series (if water is available). Each category will be judged by a club member who previously has titled a dog at that level. AKC hunt test rules will be applied to each category as appropriate.

- Master: Open to any dog that has already earned Senior Hunter (or equivalent) title.
- Senior: Open to any dog that has not yet earned Senior Hunter (or equivalent) title.
- Junior: Open to any dog that has not yet earned Junior Hunter (or equivalent) title.

- Junior level: In each series (land/water), teams will run two single marks. Dogs may be restrained at the line. For each mark, dogs will be timed from the point they leave the line until delivery to hand. Dogs must not leave the line until released by the judge, and they must deliver to hand. At the end of the event, the four times (two land/two water) will be added for an overall event time. Lowest overall time wins.
- Senior level: In each series (land/water), teams will run a set of double marks. For each double, dogs will be timed from the point they leave the line until delivery to hand of the second mark. Dogs must be steady at the line until released by the judge (controlled breaks allowed), and they must deliver to hand. At the end of the event, the two times (land/water) will be added for an overall event time. Lowest overall time wins.
- Master level: In each series (land/water), teams will run a set of triple marks. For each triple, dogs will be timed from the point they leave the line until delivery to hand of the third mark. Dogs must be steady at the line until released by the judge (controlled breaks not allowed), and they must deliver to hand. At the end of the event, the two times (land/water) will be added for an overall event time. Lowest overall time wins.
